Weekend Wrap Up

This weekend was an extremely busy, yet productive. On Friday night, we took the kids for a walk as soon as we got home. R-man usually falls asleep on the way home from daycare but that didn't happen on Friday. Although, he did take a good snooze on our way to the park. Little-C loves the park and she has discovered the bar above the slide so she thinks she can swing on it. It's all fine and dandy until there is a line of kids behind her but she doesn't seem to mind.

On Saturday morning, we had R-man's 9-month photos. How can he be 9-months already? Seems just like yesterday we were heading to the hospital.

Thanks Kari Bruck Photography for the great work!
On Saturday afternoon, we were able to get some yard work done. Dave mowed the lawn for the first time and put down fertilizer so our yard will look all nice and green when we get ready to sell it. Little-C also helped in the garden and enjoyed planting the flower that I got from work in the garden. We intend on digging it up and planting it at the new house before we move.

I think the flower got plenty of water.
Over the past few weeks we have learned that our daycare is amazingly awesome. We were clapping our hands going "yeah" one day and R-man clapped his too. We also said, "So Big" and he raised his hands in the air. Low and behold, he learned these things at daycare because Dave and I haven't taught him them! They are awesome and we are extremely lucky we have such a great place to take our kids while we grow our careers.
R-man clapping.
R-man is SO BIG!
R-man and little-C also enjoyed swinging. R-man just loves to go high and from the look on his face it looks as if he's going down a roller coaster.

On Sunday morning, we woke up early because R-man was up at 6 a.m. I thought I might as well get up and get the day started even though I really wanted to crawl back under the covers. I did more laundry, packed up our sweaters and sweatshirts to get them ready for storage, organized the kids totes (they have an unreal amount of clothing), cleaned the house and made lunches for Dave. Well, little-C helped clean too. I lowered the handle on the swiffer and let her get to work. It's never too early to teach a kid how to help around the house!

Little-C swiftering the floor.
Later in the afternoon, little-C had a friend come over and play with her. She just loves Rowen and is like a little Mommy to her when she's around. They had fun playing basketball, playing with her mats, eating pizza and applesauce!  The applesauce was like a competition to see who could finish it first but little-C lost.
Who can finish the applesauce first?

Yummy, this pizza is delicious!
