Our New Home - All Moved In!!

As we noted in our last blog, we're officially moved into our new home.  We've delayed this post until our new refrigerator was installed.  It was back ordered when we moved in, and we had a loaner "mini" fridge.  So here's a lot of pictures of the finished product!

Exterior of Our Home:

Front of our home.
Back of our home. Picture is taken from the top of the kids sledding hill...pictures of
that to come this winter.
Back yard and swing set.  Surprisingly, when we moved in, our swingset was the only one...despite A LOT of kids in the neighborhood.  However, as of this weekend, our neighbors 3 doors down starting building their own swing set as well.
View of our covered deck and back of our home.  Dave's planning to put in some pavers next summer for a patio area for a couple of chairs and the grill.
 Kids Rooms:

Little-C's room. As previously noted, we added the pink accent wall.
Little-C lovers her "Mickey Mouse Bed"
Kids (and temporary guest) bathroom.
Kids bathroom.
R-man's sports themed room.
R-man's Room.  We're working on painting a wall hanging with his name above his crib.
Kitchen:
The new fridge!  We opted for a french door design without water/ice in the door.
View of the kitchen, all decked out for fall.  We found the bar stools at Homemakers.  We are already loving the space of the large island and ability to grab a bite to eat right at the island.
View of the kitchen as it blends into the living room/hallway.
A truly open concept.  We're loving the ability to be working in the kitchen while the kiddos play in the living room.  At our old house, they had to be attached
to our hip if we were in the kitchen!
The pantry is filling up...but there's still room!
Another view of the kitchen. We added the tall cabinet on the right.  It's full of canned goods, kiddos snacks, etc.  Between it and the pantry we have plenty of room for all of our dishes, food, etc. right in our kitchen.  A very welcomed change, from our tiny kitchen at our old house.
Dining room table and back door which provides access to the deck. We panicked a couple of weeks before closing as we hadn't thought about window coverings for the door.  However, Remington Homes was able to swap the door out for one that had built in mini blinds.
We love it!

Living Room:
All of our furniture fit nicely in the new living room.  Dave was super excited that our big TV from the basement of our old home fit perfectly above the fire place.  Now he thinks he needs a bigger tv for the basement...
Stair case to the basement.  Dave found the gate hardware on Amazon, it's made by KidCo and allowed the installation of a gate without damaging the wood on the railing.  It was super easy to install and works great!
Mud Room/Laundry Room:
Laundry room.  Dave added the shelf along the back wall, and as you can see, it's in use drying shirts that we don't put in the dryer.  We have absolutely loved having the laundry on the first floor and still having plenty of room to sort, fold, hang, etc.
The other half of the laundry room, is the mud room.  We found the baskets shown at Target and we are loving the ability to hang our coats, keys, etc. while also keeping the
kiddos shoes organized.
Garage:
Here's a sneak peak, I'll have Dave to a more detailed blog in the future as he's done a lot of shelves, cabinets, etc.
Still sorting/cleaning but pretty much everything is hung on the wall or
other wise had a space.
And yes, both cars fit!
Master Bedroom/Bath:
All of our furniture fits nicely into the Master Bedroom, and I even have a bed side stand (that matches the rest of the furniture) for the first time ever.
Door on the right goes out to the living room.  Door on the left is the access to the
Master Bath and Closet.
Master Bath.
Master closet.  We were actually able to get three closets worth of close into the
new mater closet without any issues!
Master Closet.
Basement:
Temporary furniture arrangements until Dave gets the basement finished.
Future office.
Future basement bathroom.
Spare room - knew those carpet samples would be put to use eventually.
Still a few boxes left to unpack.
Storage room.  We painted the floor with epoxy floor paint.
Furnace, work bench (i.e. Dave's temporary bar).
The storage shelves Dave built are pretty much filled up.
