Here’s a quick update from this past month.
Age:
R-man is 10 months
Little-C is 2
Stats:
Weight:
- R-man: almost 20 lbs.
- Little-C is 29.2 lbs.
Teeth:
R-man has 4 teeth. The second one on the top finally broke through! I'm pretty sure he's cutting more though the way he chews on his fingers.
Clothes:
R-man – He is wearing 9-12 months clothes now. It's summer so we love to dress him in his cute little plaid shorts with a matching shirt.
Little-C – She is wearing 3T clothes. She is usually pretty specific on what shoes she'd like to wear. Dave and I try to pick out shoes that match her outfit but normally she has another pair in mind. We bought her a pair of Keen sandals that cost $50 but she usually goes for the pair that cost $5 - go figure.
Favorite Foods:
R-man loves eating the following foods:
- Green beans
- Watermelon
- Macaroni & Cheese
- Spaghetti O's
- Bread
- Carrots
- Vanilla Wafers
- Pudding
- Cantaloupe
- Ice Cream (can't get enough)
- Cooked noodles
- Cupcakes
Milestones:
R-man
- Scoots where he needs to go and is getting rather quick at it.
- Beginning to pull himself up to things, including on his crib and Little-C's table.
- Sits up by himself. The first morning I woke up to go get him and found him sitting up, I nearly cried. My little man is growing up too quick.
- Waves 'Hi' and 'Bye.'
- Makes sounds with his lips.
- Finally says, 'Mama', he's been saying 'Dada' for a while.
- Has an infectious laugh - I just want to bottle it all up.

- Sings new songs almost everyday. We are thankful for daycare for teaching her these new songs. We had to YouTube them to figure out what she is singing.
- Helps set the table for dinner.
- Helps make the beds when we wash the bedding.
- Will help put her and R-mans laundry away. Most of it is unfolded by the time she reaches the dresser but it's the thought that counts.
- Helps pick up the toys before bedtime until all of them are put away.
Favorite Things:
R-man
- Waiving Bye: Anytime he hears bye or hi, he is waving.
- Praying: It's funny how much he pays attention to us but when we pray at nights before a meal, he'll put his hand together too.
- Laughing: Okay, I love this too because his little laugh is so infectious but he seems to laugh at anything, which is awesome!
- Cozy Coupe: He absolutely loves hanging out in his cozy coupe (although C isn't found of sharing it).
- Swinging: He could swing for hours outside if you'd let him.
- High chair: He loves sitting in it and slamming his head against the back. Makes me laugh or smile every time.

R-man loving his food. |
- Playing outside: We find that this is used as a good grounding tool when she doesn't do as she is told or is naughty. She has been known to dump her plate of food on the floor when she doesn't want it so that sends her to her room and she doesn't get to enjoy the outdoors after daycare.
- Gardening: She loves to help Dave in the garden. I'm excited for tomatoes to start coming in because she loves to pick them.
- Dance Class: She absolutely loves dance and will be sad that it's over for the summer. Click here to see her last dance of this spring.
- Dusting the house: She'll hate this once she get's older but right now when I'm cleaning she'll get a cleaning rag and dust everything that is within reach.

Sleep:
- R-man goes down before 7:30 every night.
- Little-C usually goes down between 8 and 8:30. If we allow her to stay up any later, she's a bear to get ready for daycare in the morning.
R-man loves going for a stroller ride. |
- R-man had another infection so was put on an antibiotic for two weeks. They took bacteria from his nose and let it grow for a few days to make sure they prescribed him the right antibiotic to kill the bacteria.
- Little-C had a sinus infection so she too was put on an antibiotic. They also told us that her ear tubes are starting to fall out.
