Our daughter is 4

It's hard to believe our little girl is already four. This past year has gone by so fast and watching our little girl grow has been amazing. She is a lot more laid back now that she's four and has learned a ton at daycare. She loves to cheer on her beloved Cyclones, going to visit Grandpa and Grandma's farm, playing with her brother, taking care of her babies, and attending dance class.

We celebrated her birthday with her two cousins who also have a birthday in December. She got several toys and money, which will help pay for college. Before her birthday I asked what kind of cake she wanted and she said Elsa. Well, I bought an Elsa doll, took the legs off and affixed it to the cake. I have an actual skirt cake pan so it made it easy.

Enjoyed opening a few of her gifts.
Dave and I started the tradition last year of taking vacation and spending time with the kids on their birthday. This year, we took Caroline to Hickory Park for her birthday and to the Peanuts movie.

Excited to be spending the day with her Mom and Dad.
As we were eating our lunch, we told Caroline if she was good and ate well they would bring her ice cream and sing Happy Birthday. She didn't know what to think about that and after they sang Happy Birthday she said, "I didn't like that." But she did love the ice cream.

Got to have ice cream at Hickory Park
Once we finished eating, we had to go outside to have our photo taken with CY. Every time we go to Hickory Park, she wants to sit on his knee.

We thought we'd try another movie for her birthday. It was only her second one. We tried a movie for her third birthday, but we were hoping we'd make it further than the previews, plus 20 minutes of the movie.

We saw the Peanuts movie, but the issue was Caroline had never seen a show prior to going to the movie. The previews looked a lot better than the actual movie was. This year, we made it through 30 minutes of previews (which were great), plus 20 minutes of the movie. Maybe we can improve our time the third time we take her.

Once we were done with the movie, we ventured to the hospital to visit a dear friend of ours who had a heart attack a few days prior. Thankfully he is doing well! We had to have our photo taken with CY in the hospital.

Hopefully this next year slows down for her, but as my Mom tells me each year goes faster with kids!
