The Christmas season has come and gone so quickly, and here I am at the end of January finally writing the blog post. This past Christmas, our holiday started off at the early part of December. My side of the family usually plans our Christmas date mid-summer. You may think that sounds crazy, but my older sister works at a hospital and they make their schedule 3-6 months in advance.
Note: There are a lot photos in this blog post!
Our first Christmas was the Bruck Christmas the first weekend in December. Everyone was at the Christmas with the exception of my little brother.

The third Christmas we had was at our house with our family. Dave and I always said when we had kids that we weren't traveling on Christmas day. We have stuck to that and we are always home on Christmas Eve so the kids can open their gifts on Christmas day.
On Christmas Eve we went to mass. The kids posed for a photo, but not without having Santa in the photo too. They have a love hate relationship with this Santa. He looks very real so they hate that part about him, but he does keep them in line when they are naughty. All you have to say is, Santa is watching.

The best family selfie shot we could get. |
The kids love setting out a cookie for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. This year, the kids wanted to set out a beer for Santa. They thought he needed a beer more than milk. The reindeer got milk though!

The gifts were all tucked under the tree with care. |
The best part of them being small is, they don't wake up early! Both kids slept until 8 am and they weren't sure what to think of all the gifts under the tree. R-man's were wrapped in minion paper and Little-C's were wrapped in princess Sofia paper. That way they know which gifts are theirs.

During Christmas we also kept both kids home and we made Christmas cookies. They had a blast and enjoyed playing in the frosting after they were done with the cookies.

We had one remaining Christmas to do and that was with Dave's Dad's side of the family. We usually travel to Omaha for the Christmas, but this year they came to our home to see our new house! There was a total of 26 people at our house.
