This past weekend was a blast because we got to enjoy the beautiful weather. I wish Iowas was mid-70's everyday throughout the entire year! With no humidity of course.
Saturday morning, I taught cycling at the Ankeny Y. Now that the weather is beginning to get warm, the 9:00 am classes are slim. This past weekend, I had one person in the 9 am class so they did their own thing. Some of you that have never taken a cycling class may wonder what the class looks like and where the instructor sits. I took some snapchat photos this past weekend to show all of you.

Ready to teach class. The headset is so the class can hear me over the speakers. |
After I got home, Dave shared some photos with me of the kids. They too were enjoying the nice weather. R-man has been trying to convince us to buy him a bike like his sister's, but Dave suggested we wait until his birthday. He can drive his gator this year without any troubles. Although, we are usually telling him to slow down because he tries to put it in gear two. When it's in gear two, you practically have to run to keep up!
In the afternoon they decided to do a little gardening and get the garden ready to plant. They loved playing in the soft dirt after Dave tilled it up.
Dave cooked a fabulous meal for us on Saturday evening. We don't eat like this every night, but on the weekends we try to have a cheat meal! Breaking out the Weber Charcoal grill every now and then is fun, plus the flavor is always excellent on steaks.

On Saturday night, the kids got to have a sleep over with their neighbor. After dinner, they enjoyed reading books and watching videos on their ipads. As you'll see from the photo below, R-man wore himself out after being outside most of the day! Don't worry, he did get a bath before going to bed.

On Sunday morning, we made a good breakfast for everyone and as you'll see they were in such great moods.
We ran a few errands and R-man got to sit on every John Deere mower tractor that is at Home Depot. After he got home he asked when he can go to Grandpa Bruck's farm. We'll have to make a trip home soon while my Dad is planting so he can ride in the tractor.
We also played a little t-ball in the backyard. Both kids have a great swing and I'm excited to see what they can do once they are 5 and can really play t-ball.
On Sunday evening, we went on a date night with a few neighbors to see "Annie" at the Civic Center. It was an amazing show and the girl that played Annie had an amazing voice.
