Weekend Wrap Up (10.16.15 - 10.18.15) - ISU game and Center Grover Orchard

A few weeks ago we had a fabulous weekend with my brother Ray, nephew Ben and his girlfriend and daughter. My brother was turning 29 on Saturday, so I decided to make a quick cake to help him celebrate. His favorite kind is marble, so that's what I made with whipping icing.
My brother Ray and his son!
On Saturday, we visited Center Grover Orchard for a few hours and had a terrific time!

The family at Center Grove Orchard.
We decided to go early because we knew the corn pool and jumping balloons would be crazy. We first visited the corn pool and the kids had a great time. The temperature outside was a bit chilly so the corn wasn't very warm.

After we left the corn pool, we went on the jumping balloon. Thankfully they have two jumping balloons; one for kids under 52" and the other was for older kids and adults. Caroline and Ryan were the only two kids on the balloon for about 10 minutes. Once additional kids came to jump, the balloon was moving too much and it would knock Ryan over. Ryan wanted to stop the kids from jumping so he tempted to kick a few of them. I guess, boys will be boys!

Ray and Ben having a great time.
After the jumping balloon, we hit up the giant slide. I didn't go down the slide because the black tunnels at the top of the slides kind of freak me out. So Dave took Ryan down and Caroline went down on her own. They all had a great time, but walking up the hill to do it again was exhausting for everyone.

We attempted to get a few photos with the pumpkins, but it was difficult to get all the kids to look.

The best photo we could get.
We also visited the animals, the three little pigs houses, rode the tractors and a few other fun things.
Caroline stayed a good distance away from the goat because she
didn't want it to touch her hands.
Not afraid of feeding the goat one bit.
Testing out the school chairs.
Testing out the school chairs. I asked if he's going to be good when he goes to school and his answer was, "no." Hopefully that answer changes in the future years.
Not quite tall enough to peek out the hole.
The house made of grass.
The house made of sticks.
Having fun with the out house. If he only knew what it was!
Riding the pedal tractors.
Riding the pedal tractor - after a few trips around the track, my legs were tired.
Not so sure about the CASE IH tractor.
Excited to be riding a John Deere.
Around 11:20 am we left so that we could get home, feed the kids and head up to the ISU vs. TCU game.
Tailgating in the fairly warm weather.
ISU had a great first half of the game. Hopefully the season goes better next year.
Three Cyclone fans and one TCU fan. TCU won the game.
Dave and I.
