Weeked Wrap Up (Sept. 5-7)

Once again this post is a bit late! I hope I can get caught back up once we finish packing and moving.

On Friday evening, we got things ready to go tailgating on Saturday morning! We thought we might as well take the kids when it's nice, rather than when it cools down and the snow is flying.

Saturday
We woke up early, packed everything up and headed to Ames for the kids second tailgate. The weather was perfect and as you can tell, the kids loved it. Although, Little-C didn't go to bed until 11:00 p.m. on Friday evening so she was kind of a bear when half time was nearing.

We arrived in Ames around 9:00 and tailgated until around 10:15. R-man loved the dog that came to tailgate near us.

The kids did have fun in the stadium as well, but they did get tired toward half time so we decided not to stay after that. They did manage to see their babysitter Sam and get on the jumbo tron!  R-man also enjoyed clapping whenever the crowd clapped!

After we arrived home, the kids took a nap. We then headed to our friends house so the adults could chat and the kiddos could play. Before we had kids, our group used to play sand volleyball. Now, we find it more relaxing to watch our kids play, while we enjoy some adult beverages and catch up!

She absolutely loves watermelon.

We need to work on Little-C's speed skills! She was always the last one.

Sunday
We spent the day running some errands and then spent two hours in Mercy Urgent Care once we noticed Little-C's ear. The first photo is what it looked like at the doctor's office around 11:00 a.m. and the second photo is what it looked like at around 7:00 p.m. The doctor said it was Cellulitis. Essentially, it is a bacterial skin infection. He put her on antibiotics and thankfully her ear was down a bit on Tuesday morning.

On Sunday evening Dave had to run to work for "Night with the Neighbors" once Little C heard there was a fire truck that was going to be there, she wanted to go to work with Daddy!

When she got home, I asked her what she saw.  First thing she told me was "Hayden."  Hayden is the 4 year son of one of Dave's co-workers.  While cute, neither Mommy or Daddy are ready for her to be hanging out with older boys!
