On Saturday morning, I taught two cycling classes at the Ankeny Y. I absolutely love to teach because I enjoy motivating members. I will have to say, by the time I'm 3/4 of the way finished with the second class, I'm a bit exhausted.
Later that morning the entire family went out to build a snowman! Well, it was basically Dave and I building the snowman and the kids watching. Little-C enjoyed squirting her colored water in the snow. As a kid, my Mom always saved empty dish soap bottles for us. She filled them with water and added a few drops of food coloring. We colored the snow and absolutely loved it. We didn't have any empty dish soap bottles, but we did have an empty chocolate syrup bottle. Little-C loved it too, but squirted her bottle a little too quickly.
R-man had a great time too, but he enjoyed eating the snow. Don't worry, we didn't let him eat the colored snow that Little-C had made.
Later in the evening we invited good friends over that used to attend my class when I taught at Accel Fitness. It's great that we have stayed good friends through the years, and I'm fortunate that they came into our lives.
On Sunday, we went to church and then the kids helped Dave bake a cake and decorate it for me. I turned 35 on Monday, but they wanted to assure they got plenty of celebrating in before the week began.
On Monday, I received a great package, but I'm still not sure who it's from. It made my day!! And, it certainly was a box full of sunshine! Everything in the box was yellow! Every who sent it has a great eye for themes! And, I can't wait to frame the sunshine 8x10 print.
