This weekend was a bittersweet one as it will be the last weekend we spend in our home. It will be sad to leave our home after all the remodeling we have done in 12-years, but we are ready for a new adventure. Plus, we are leaving at the prime time because we won't have to rake the leaves this fall!
On
Friday evening, we went to our new house to check things out. We were surprised that they didn't have many things left to do. Our final walk thru is this Tuesday morning at 7:30 a.m. I can't believe how quickly the past five months have gone.
On
Saturday, we spent most of the day preparing meals for the week and running errands. We had to find some new curved shower rods for our new house so we went to Bed Bath & Beyond. Before we went into the store we thought we'd take the kids to PetSmart to see the animals. R-man is in love with dogs these days and get's so excited when he sees one. I always tell him that he can only look because I'll never allow one to be in my house.
Preparing meals was important because once the kitchen is packed up we won't be able to cook anything so we wanted meals that we could quickly warm up. Plus, with kids we've learned that its much easier to eat at home than going out. We had a fun Saturday and I made sure to get plenty of photos of the kids since it was our last Saturday in our home. Little-C kept asking what we were doing all weekend. We kept telling her that we are packing to move to our new home. I'm not sure she truly understands what we are doing, but she'll quickly find out after the weekend is over.

Sunday, it was time to pack. What we realized that packed with a 13-month and 2 1/2 year old is extremely difficult. Little-C can usually entertain herself, until her brother is around. A few times, I came into the living room and they were wrestling with each other. Little-C better look out because when her brother is older, I have a feeling he'll get the best of her. It's all fine and dandy until I see her laying on him. The funny thing is, he doesn't say a word. He's definitely a boy because the rougher you are the more he likes it.

Little-C doesn't seem to mind until he bites her. |

We knew it was crunch time with packing and Little-C wanted to help so I thought she could help pack the canned goods. She did good until her brother came along and started taking them out of the box. After we cleaned the bathroom cabinets the kids thought it was fun to play in them.

After cleaning a majority of the day, we decided to take a long walk to the park. The kids had a great time and Little-C didn't want to leave. I must have said, only one more time about eight times before we left.

I am having a potluck tomorrow at work so we had to do one more baking routine before we move. Little-C absolutely loves to run the mixer to assure eeverything is mixed up properly.

We managed to make a good pile in the dining room, but thankfully Dave is taking the entire week off so he can finish packing while I'm at work and the kids are at daycare. He has a lot to accomplish within the next three days.
