On Saturday, Dave had to run a few errands so I took the kids to the library. They love to pick out their own books and it makes choosing them at night much easier when they choose them themselves.
After the library, we stopped by Bass Pro Shops in Altoona to visit the Easter Bunny. However, we probably should have done it on Easter Sunday because it took 45 minutes. But thankfully the kids were patient the entire time we waited. I tried to have each kid sit beside the bunny, but Ryan wanted nothing to do with him. He kept saying, "I just want to sit beside my sissy."
In the afternoon we enjoyed the beautiful weather the weekend had in store. Caroline was being a little diva with the neighbor girl.
We might be in trouble when these two are teenagers! |
On Sunday, the kids were so excited when they awoke to the Easter Bunny! The kids did off well this year with some movies, electric toothbrushes, paw patrol vehicle, art caddy and plenty of candy.
Before we ventured off to church, Dave colored eggs with the kids. This year he tried shaving cream and food coloring. It didn't work the best, but we tried.
We made it to 10:30 a.m. mass and we had to ensure the kids had plenty to do so they didn't throw a fit during church. The past few masses have been a bit of a challenge, but they did great today!
Taking time to smell the flowers after church. |
The best family photo we could get. Caroline was upset because she was cold. |
This is Ryan's typical attitude for photos. |
The best smiles we could get. |
When we were running errands today, she wanted to try on the Poppy bike helmet. She didn't get it, she has a good one from the bike store. |
