Christmas 2014 Recap

Christmas is over! I have a love hate relationship with the holiday. I love it once the tree and decorations are all set-up, but I hate tearing them all down. Luckily I have an awesome husband and he too down almost everything this year.

The kiddos had a great time with Christmas this year, and both of them enjoyed opening their gifts. R-man cared more about the paper, but C really got into the Christmas gifts.

On Dec. 20, we ventured to the Bruck family Christmas. We had a gift exchange with the siblings and their significant other and it was a lot of fun. The kids got a few toys, but mostly money for their college fund. Lord knows they will need it when they are 18.

On Dec. 21, we ventured to Dave's families Christmas. The kids think they are spoiled with all the Christmas gifts they received. I am thinking that we need to have one toy in, one out!

The Wilwerding family grandkids.
The week of Dec. 22, Dave and I had off and so did the kids. Now that both of them have been at their daycare center for a year, they get a week of vacation. We were so excited to save over $400!

During that week, we spent a lot of time cleaning the house, making Christmas cookies, and celebrating the birth of Jesus on Christmas day!

Little-C and R-man sure enjoyed decorating the cookies.
On Christmas Eve, we went to church, which turned out to be an adventure since it was a 7:30 p.m. Both kids were ready for bed around 8:00 so it made for an interesting mass service.

The kids before Christmas Eve mass. This was the best photo we could get. Little-C argued on her outfit so we let her wear this even though it wasn't our first choice.
Little-C was trying to make her brother sit there for a photo. He had another idea.

Santa has arrived. Santa wraps all gifts in our household. The red ones were Little-C's and the blue one's were R-man's.
Christmas morning was great because both kids slept in. R-man woke up around 8:30 and Little-C woke up around 9. They never sleep in this late, but it felt awesome! Neither really cared that Santa came so we were able to get them dressed and ready for the day before they tore into gifts.

Dave got me a Keurig coffee machine! It's been used almost everyday since Christmas day.

Little-C loves her big bike.
Both kids love the train table that Santa brought R-man.
Santa soiled both of them a bit!

Christmas with our family was great. We were lucky to be able to spend Christmas with both families, but be at our house on Christmas morning. We wish all of our family and friends a blessed New Year and hopefully 2015 brings them much joy!
